Fasting During Halloween?
Has anyone else attempted intermittent fasting during Halloween?
Because that’s what I did this year, and you know what? It wasn’t that hard.
Everyone else was enjoying treats, candy, and sweets, while I had to say no to the gingerbread men.
But I felt no deprivation, no problem really. I was on a 44 hour fast, but of course many people do less than that when they choose to do an intermittent fast, this was just the period of time that’s part of the program I am on right now.
Perhaps this was because of the special advice, tips even a special concoction drink; nothing exotic but certainly not common sense nor something typical, it was devised and advised by the person leading this challenge that I’m doing; I think that made all the difference.
When I broke the fast today it was easier than ever and I feel great. My personal experience with intermittent fasting means mental clarity, feeling good physically and not slowing down but rather able to do my workouts as normal. This really works for me, but definitely with the adaptations.
Nonetheless, I think next time I won’t select a holiday to fast.
